Misty Gray, Office Manager
Misty Gray joined the firm in 2018. She brings over 15 years of administrative experience in Office Management, Human Resources, and Accounting.
She assists in the development and implementation of firm policies and procedures; manages and oversees the administration of HR policies, programs and practices within the firm; she maintains accounts payable, receivables and monthly billing.
Lisa Dworaczyk, Road Bond Project Manager-Paralegal
Lisa joined Sheets & Crossfield, PLLC in 2006 and supports the attorneys in right of way acquisition and condemnation for various governmental entities. She works closely with local city and county government officials in the planning and execution of multiple projects of varying size and complexity and has assisted in the acquisition of 1000+ parcels in the Central Texas area.
Lisa has developed expertise in the coordination of project scheduling and cost estimating and is responsible for subcontractor management. She also provides legal support for all eminent domain proceedings including drafting legal documents, discovery interrogatories and responses and assists in all aspects of trial preparation.
Victoria Jeffers- Litigation Paralegal
Victoria joined Sheets & Crossfield in 2024 to assist with litigation cases. She brings 5 years of paralegal and management experience. She assists all attorneys and teams with litigation on right-of-way acquisitions and eminent domain proceedings for various governmental entities. Her duties include but are not limited to: condemnation litigation case management, drafting appropriate legal documents, scheduling orders, discovery, and assisting with trial preparation for various municipal and county entities.
Alison Davis-Legal Assistant
Alison joined Sheets & Crossfield, PLLC in 2024. She comes with 10 years of title experience and will assist Don Childs and team with right of way acquisitions and eminent domain proceedings. She works with consultants and handles all land related legal issues, including transfers of title, deeds, easements, release of liens and drafting legal documents. She researches landowner information and negotiates right of way and easements for utility and roadway construction projects for various local city and county governmental entities.
Penny Smith
Senior Litigation Paralegal
Penny L. Smith is a Senior Litigation Paralegal with Sheets & Crossfield, PLLC and is responsible for providing legal support to the condemnation attorneys, and other team members within the firm. Characteristically, Ms. Smith is diligent, well-motivated, professionally skilled in multitasking, and dependable. Additionally, she distinguishes herself as flexible, working well both independently and as a team member committed to excellence and quality and has been working in the legal field for 29 years.
Penny is originally from Crosby, Texas (a suburb of Houston, Texas), after graduating in 1996 from Crosby High School, Penny decided to go to Junior College at San Jacinto College North to receive her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Legal Assistance in 1998. In 2012, she relocated to North Austin with her family and continued her journey to follow her passion to work in the legal field. Her goal is to one day attend law school and obtain her Jurisprudence Degree.
In the fall of 2015, Penny (while working full time), went back to school at Texas State University in connection with obtaining her Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences Degree, graduating with honors Magna Cum Laude, being the first in her family to graduate from college. Penny enjoys spending time with her husband of 19 years and her son, stepchildren, and grandchildren.
Alexandra Brunner
Ally joined Sheets & Crossfield in 2025. Ally brings with her 8 years of legal experience and will be supporting the attorneys in right of way acquisition and condemnation.
Ally has worked in various areas of law that has built her expertise in being able to assist the right of way team with managing contractors, correspondence and special commissioners hearing items from the beginning to end of the right of way process.
